Don White virtual concert Thurs Sept 10, 2020

We did it! Thank you for your support and participation!

New Moon Coffeehouse and Theodore Parker Music on Centre teamed up to sponsor a virtual live concert. It was wonderful to see so many faces, old and new, and we hope this new format can be enjoyable and accessible to all, until we can gather in person safely once again.

Don White’s Thursday night livestream with surprise guests took place on Thursday Sept 10, 2020. The show was delivered via Zoom, and also was streamed live to Don White’s Facebook page and YouTube channel from Zoom. The Zoom audience was included in the After Party where we were able to hang out with the performers, including opener Chelsea Berry and surprise guests Ellis Paul and Christine Lavin.

The event was interactive – meaning that Don, the other performers, and everyone in the audience were able to hear laughter and applause from those in the Zoom audience who were unmuted. Facebook and YouTube audience were able to enter chat responses during the show.

The show was free, with tip jar. (Tips are very, very much appreciated and encouraged, before, during and after the show).

  • Tip jar options include PayPal, Venmo, and regular checks:

    Or mail a check to:
    • Theodore Parker Church
      P.O. Box 320001
      West Roxbury,MA  02132
(Make checks payable to Theodore Parker Church and enter Don White in the memo line.)

Where will these donations go?

Proceeds will primarily benefit the performers, whose livelihood has been impacted by the pandemic shutdown of live music venues. A portion of the proceeds will help to offset event costs, and a portion will be donated to the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute of Boston, an organization which helps victims and families affected by gun violence and homicide.

If you are in a position to help fill the tip jar, please give what you can, to show your support for these performers and help the New Moon Coffeehouse and Theodore Parker Church Music On Centre series continue our collaboration to present virtual live concerts until the pandemic ends and we can once again gather safely for in-person live shows.
